Thomas Tracy Upchurch, great-grandson of Upchurch Bailey & Upchurch founder Frank D. Don Wallis teams up with Corporate Investment International to conduct “Exit Strategy” seminar - 4/28/09
Upchurch Bailey & Upchurch tax attorney, Don Wallis, recently teamed up with the principals of Jacksonville-based Corporate Investment International to present a seminar entitled “Exit Strategy.” Held at the Ramada Conference Center, the program was geared toward business owners contemplating the sale of their companies. Topics covered included: deal structures, types of buyers, business valuations, tax implications, legal and financial implications, and personal considerations, among others. { top }

Hamilton Upchurch Skate Park - 4/24/09
A new skate park, named in honor of the late Hamilton Upchurch, officially opened in April. The $370,000 project, a collaborative effort by the City of St. Augustine, St. Johns County and private contributors, is located at the intersection of Red Cox Drive and Anastasia Boulevard. Designed by Halback Design Group Inc. of St. Augustine, the park includes skate ramps, picnic tables, a fitness walk and a playground. At the grand opening ceremonies, Tracy Upchurch, Hamilton’s son, said of his father; “Dad loved growing up in St. Augustine, and the fact that this park is dedicated to kids would have really resonated with him.” { top }
